Proper aftercare leads to happy hair!

Emme Hair Extensions are constructed from high-grade raw human hair materials and that is why, with proper love and care, they maintain such great quality for an extended amount of time.  We know that you want to do your best to maintain them at home to preserve their quality, so here are some aftercare pointers to help you along the way!

Clip-in aftercare

Products to use:  Wet brush, Kitoko oil, minimal hairspray

How to wash: We do not recommend that you wash them as this can breakdown the quality of the hair.  Our salon offers a "drop-off service" where we will use professional grade products to cleanse and dry them for you.  They will be good as new!

Ideal hot tools temperature: 180 degrees celsius

Tape-in aftercare

Products to use: Wet brush, Kitoko shampoo, conditioner, treatment and oil.

How to wash: Gently shampoo the roots.  Scrub your scalp around each piece with the tip of your fingers. Rinse and repeat if you have an oily scalp. Apply conditioner from mids to ends, then rinse.  Finally, apply treatment from mids to ends and rinse.

How to dry:  Towel dry your hair then gently brush your hair out using a soft bristle Wet brush starting at the ends of your hair and slowly work your way up to your scalp.  Once your hair is detangled, squeeze out any excess moisture with a towel.  Blow dry your hair starting at the root and working your way down to the ends of your hair.  Once your hair is 50% dry, apply one pump of oil from mids to ends. Ensure that the roots of your hair are 100% dry before moving onto hot tool styling.
